Visual and Performing Arts

Music is one of the only educational activities that activates, stimulates, and uses the entire brain - supporting almost everything we do in school to create a fully rounded child. The Tulare City Classroom Music Program currently includes grade 2-4 students that receive instruction in the elements of music, notation, music history, music technique, and choral performance. It shares with the student's many songs and listening selections from various styles as well as cultures, assisting the children to find their own place in the musical experience. We also offer band and orchestra to students in sixth grade.
